timbo343 Posted May 12, 2020 Posted May 12, 2020 I was hoping someone could tell me if this was possible to do but i'm struggling to find a way to stop attendees from enabling their video during a meeting. It seems like this is the only feature that is missing and for every training session i have been on, i have nevervseen the trainer nor has the trainer ever seen me - the option to use the camera is always disabled but we weren't using Zoom, it was GoToWebinar. I am only testng zoon at the moment.. but it would seem there is no way you can prevent attendees from enabling their video unless the individual switches on their video for the host to manually stop it - only then does the attendee get the video option has been disabled be the host. Surely there is a way to stop this from the moment an attendee enters the meeting. It's possible to do it with the audio so why not the video?

We ended up going for YouTube live stream, comments turned off and had parents email questions in. It worked well apart from a blip with YouTube part way through. Video was then available for parents to view who were unable to attend.

Video was then available for parents to view who were unable to attend.Thanks. Google Meet Live Stream is pretty much lile Youtube live stream. Zoom have the offer on at the moment for education where they remove the 40 min limit but the meets are onlt limited to 100 attendees. I'm working on Zoom to try to get them to disable the cameras en mass. Everything they are suggesting doesn't do want it should do. I'm starting to think that only GoToWebinar is the only one thay has the ability for Attendees in listen only mode.
