Failed Samsung SSD

We have a teacher whose staff laptop with a Samsung SSD in it has failed and the drive is encrypted with Windows Bit Locker.

 

The drive is detected by BIOS but when piggy-backed on to another system, the drive is not displayed in Windows Disk Management.

 

Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on getting the data off it or at least recovering it.

I shall have a look but if we piggy back it on another system, it can take >1hr to boot the device.

They had backups and what they have lost, wasn't important.

99.9% sure that’s now a brick. Often SSDs will drop into read-only before they die, to allow you to remove any data, but I’ve had several go just like yours has. It was just a case of replace and move on.
