screen flipping

I have students holding ctrl + alt and hitting directional keys to flip their screens. Really annoying.

 

I know this can be fixed sometimes using a previous driver, but I have about a dozen schools all with labs and would like a more universal hands off fix. Any ideas?

You can go to start > msconfig and kill it off there.

Thanks for the tips, I can now disable the ctrl + arrow key with a regedit, or by preventing the program that runs the hotkey acceptors completely.

 

Problem is that I can right click on the desktop, hit graphics options, and rotation, I can still get the same effect with no hotkeys,

 

does anyone have a fix for that bit?

You could uninstall the utility but keep the drivers on.

You can take the take the right click out too with a regedit In the HKey_currentuser of your mandatory profile for students. I found it quite quickly with google at the beginning of this year when I had to fix that for our network.

Well disabling access to Desktop Properties and the Control Panel should all be configured using GPOs (Group Policy Objects).
