I am using Salamander free. The Office365 class groups are created and the class teacher is added as the owner but no students are being added to the group. Within Teams when the teacher tries to look for the O365 group of course this reports as empty. They can add the students manually.

I had been under the impression that The O365 group would be populated with students leaving them to add students to the Team by searching for the O365 group.

Found this on the Salamander site

From 26th March 2020 – SDS will still create the Office 365 Group and add the teacher and students. However, the Microsoft SDS process will no longer create Teams. Teachers will need to manually create their Class Teams and add Students. These can be done by searching for and selecting the Class Office 365 Group, during the class team setup process. You will not need to add students one by one.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

It sounds like the students are not being pulled in the SDS CSV? Can you confirm they are definitely there?

Once they are, as an admin (i disable Group creation) you can go to 365 Groups and find the Group name and in the properties select create a Team for the group. Then they need to activate the Team.

Did you get the latest version of the Salamander tool that is compatable with Microsoft's latest changes?

I just did the same and pupils were all pulled through and into classes.

Found that I had not turned on 'Teams for Students' just having 'Education - Faculty and Staff'

Thanks to leegcvcc for me to focus on another angle as students were certainly correct in csv.

Using v1.9.5.0 salamander

Re ran SDS students still not populated in the O365 groups will I have to wait 24hours for them to appear?
