Google adds company name / logo onto the Space bar of the Android Gboard Keyboard!

I cant believe Google added their logo/company name onto the onscreen virtual keyboard. Whoever thought up the idea needs shooting....

 

It seems like a minor thing but I find it seriously distracting whilst typing! Just look at it.................

Agreed. This is really annoying. It's a space bar not a Google bar!

SwiftKey did this a few months back. I assume it's an advertising thing, like if people record videos of their phone's UI like early youtube tutorials did.

You know the ones. With notepad open and unscripted 'um, er' voiceovers..

 

Bugs me, too, but you learn to ignore it.

I didn't even realise that there was text on the keyboard. Mine is still saying 'English' at the moment.
