Skype for Business - Mac (problem verifying certificate)

Hi all,

We have a Skype for Business system which works fine for our users...except those on OS X. I realise that the Skype experience for those on OS X is not comparable with the features of the Windows client, but we have an issue where users on OS X cannot sign in to Skype at all from home. Users receive the following error upon trying to sign in "There was a problem verifying the certificate from the server. Check your device's clock settings, or contact your support team."

We have checked that the clock is correct with time on site. Looking on line, some people have advised that the root certificate that the Skype server uses be installed on the local OS X machine, which we have done, and trusted. We still get the same message. We can reproduce the error with different users on different machines.

This is Skype for Business v16.28.142 on OS X 10.13.6 (High Sierra)

Any ideas on how we can get an OS X user to log in? Or, is there an alternative client we can use from a 3rd party?

TIA
