Samsung SDP-900

Hi - I am trying to use an Samsung SDP-900 visualiser found in our university's IT "hardware graveyard", but cannot find the software for use via USB - due to Coronavirus, we have been sent home & told to provide on-line teaching! I have spent a long time looking on the web, but without success - I assume this software is on CD/DVD and was wondering if anyone had a copy they could upload? May be later model version would also be compatible - 950, 960 etc.

Does it not function as a simple web cam in Windows 10? A lot of older visualisers will do this, often without other drivers.

Thanks for the reply - no, unfortunately when I plug it into a Windows 10 machine and use say the Camera App, it's not being shown as an available video source. Also, it is being shown in Devices and Printers as "Samsung Digital Presenter", but Properties gives this as "no drivers installed" and "no compatible drivers found".

I take it you've tried searching on the Hardware ID?

No I didn't know that was possible:

There are search hits on VID_0839, but not specifically PID_1027, which I guess is the Samsung SDP-900.

VID is Vendor ID, PID is Product ID, so the PID is specific. I think you’ll be out of luck, unless you just try cludging it with a similar product driver and hoping. I’ve not had a lot of luck doing that. I’ve had to ditch some new in box webcams due to lack of drivers for x64 before now.
