RDP Gateway configuration

We have the usual school RDP system set up with a RDP Gateway, RDP Session broker, and a single VM server for students to work from home.

 

I have also set up being able to connect to any specified Windows 10 desktop, via the Gateway.

 

Is there a way of creating a collection of windows 10 machines that I can publish to staff so they just get the next available machine?

 

I know you can do that with VDI, but I need to use the physical machines that will be idle in the classrooms..

 

Any ideas?

Is there a reason why you need to have physical machine access? What happens if the machine fails/crashes/switches off and WOL doesnt work? Keep with RemoteApps as it's more secure.

I want to do this too.. all those pcs not being used might as well spread the load remotely and use them..

I’m using Remote Spark here - I can add machines to the list of available clients then pop them into a web page as links to each (or we built a text input box so you can type a PC name and connect if it’s enabled).

Does anyone know if Windows 10 hosts are supported? or do I need to look for other solutions... Ideally I would be fitting a new server etc, but in the timescale available using what we have seems to be a good idea.
