Laptop Chargers

Looking for a decent place to buy Laptop batteries & Chargers for Satellite L20, Sat Pro A120 & Dell Inspiron 1000.

 

Apart from Insight & Topaz, anyone know anywhere else decent?

This would be interesting to see where other people get their chargers from - we have bought in the past compatible chargers but they are still about £40. Does anybody know any cheaper suppliers.

 

We seem to go through 15 - 20 per year!

We've gone back to buying genuine power supplies for our laptops, as we've found compatible ones are more un-reliable, they seem to fail very quickly in comparison and also tend to get damaged much more easily, the cables are thinner and the casings are more brittle generally.

 

Not sure what's the main reason other people have to replace them, but ours is because teachers wind the cables round the power supplys and get them all twisted so eventually they break!

and they last as long as expensive ones

That seems to be the problem here or they have them in their laptop and they fall of a table (add excuse here) and the socket snaps connected to the laptop.

 

We have 2 or 3 cracked screens a year also and this is the teachers!
