SIMS + Lesson Monitor | Registering Double-Periods

Hi All

 

I was wondering whether anyone had a fix for an issue we have had since installing Lesson Monitor. If a member of staff has a double period, art for example, the lesson monitor requires them to register the group twice separately. All relevant lessons are set up as doubles in NOVA T6 under sessions.

 

Is there a way around this? Below are images of what I am referring to.

 

Example: Double chemistry (same teacher for both)

 

 

How it appears when you register:

 

 

Can you make it so both boxes are white and allow teachers to mark them in for both periods without having to click on both?

I seem to recall a setting in Lesson Monitor that controls this (linking double periods), but I cannot remember what it is. I currently work at a school that doesn't use LM so I can't check either!

SIMS handles double lessons just fine - exceptions below:

 

1. different teacher for each half

2. different room for each half

 

There's isn't an explicit setting in Lesson Monitor - thought doubles was a Nova thing.

Does it have anything to do with the fact there is a 5 minute break between lessons?

Yes, it is because you have a break, in theory a student could be in period 1 go for the break and choose not to return for period 2.
