Data Collection Sheet

Hi There

I am printing of data collection sheets which are the reports imported from sims.

However there is an area which the report doesn't pull through which is the main and primary email of the contact.

I have opened the data collection sheet report and added these two parts into the data fields, however when I run the report this still does not pull through.

Is there something I am missing out?

 

Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried to edit the template of the report in report output, by adding the fields in?

Hi,

Yes I have done this. I have added the main primary and email in the data fields but this does not pull through.

I am using the data collection report imported from sims so do not have my own design.

Have you looked at the report in Preview Mode to see if the data you want is coming through?

Hi, Yes on the preview mode it shows the main and primary email.

But on the actual data collection sheet it doesn't appear.

Is there a way to edit the data collection sheet template?

Yes, when you click through the Report Designer, at the Define Presentation page, click Edit on the right hand side, the template will open. It's an RTF document so the Addins tab will be open and you choose your fields from the Insert Report Field option and you must use Save and Close to keep your changes. Good luck

eeek, I can't seem to find this.

sorry to be a nuisance, I am very new to sims, only 6 weeks in this role.

Can you show me the steps to get to the define presentation page, or screen shot?

Hi Sam, no worries, when you open the report in Design Mode, you click Next: Refine Data Area, Next: Select Data fields (where you added the your fields), Next: Apply Filter, Next: Define Sort Order, Next: Specify effective Date, Next: Define Presentations .

If you are looking for more detailed guidance, on your SIMS Home Page, click Documentation, click Administrator and Reporting, there is a good booklet in there, Designing and Running Reports. Page 37 has a lot about editing RTFs.

I am trying to adapt my data report to the one that has been imported from sims, although I have added the fields I want into the report, and it does show up on the preview, it still doesn't show up on the actually data collection sheet itself.

At the moment, what I am doing is individually going through the data sheets once its run, and going to the parents contact and cutting and pasting this in which is taking up a lot of my time.

 

I can't seem to see the define presentation page and where the RTF document is?

I have finally figured it out.

I couldn't see where where it says "EDIT" for the template to open, and then open as RTF document.

Finally got there!
