About SJT

  1. I think we're sorted.
  2. Hi all, having a bit of a nightmare, the time table wasn't displaying correctly in pupil's records, so followed advice to Apply Timetable. This didn't take as long as one would have thought, and now, it hasn't applied a timetable to year 7. The rest of the school is ok. In each pupil's curriculum assignment, the eligibility ends today, so can't even be manually extended. Timetables / secondaries are not my area. Any advice on how to extend the eligibility - it won't let you had a later date in the orange membership bar because it says it's outside the eligibility period. Thanks
  3. Hi, I think you will have to use the Route: Tools | Staff | Training and edit the dates of the course there, rather than in the staff record, but, and this is a major failing in the training module, if you edit the details there, it is global and every member of staff's record will be adjusted accordingly. I have found this super annoying when trying to create safeguarding training for the SCR. I have resorted to using the comments box to put completion dates in. However when reporting to Excel the dates go haywire, the whole thing has been a mess. In my opinion the module isn't fit for purpose if you have to replicate training types to allow for different completion and renewal dates.
  4. ok, if you choose one of them, and go to their record, you may have to change the student status from current to all, then search, and check panel 11 - School History, is there a leaving date? If they don't you can use: Routines | Pupil | Leavers and search for those with None in Year Group. This should bring up all the pupils from last year with no year group - they will all have (6) - you can then Select All and assign a leaving date and reason and destination for them. There are guide notes available through the documentation centre, you will need the 'Preparing for the New Academic Year' book.
  5. Hi, have last year's year 6 pupils been given leaving dates? If you do a search for all pupils do they show? They might show with brackets around the (6)
  6. sorry, good luck.
  7. I believe it's the Short Name of the Reg Group, if you navigate to your Pastoral Structure and Rightclick on the Reg Group name, choose properties and have a look in there. Sorry it's the full name! do a quick report with Name and Group Code and see if that helps.
  8. yes, it will do that, I would definitely be duplicating the sub report - one with a count and then adding a field to the duplicate version(with same date filters) and ticking both filter boxes so it only shows first record. You can sort on sub reports too which may help, so it brings the ones you need to the top? Sorry can't be more help.
  9. Hi, I may have got the wrong end of the stick here, so apologies if so. I am assuming you are using a Lesson Monitor sub report. There should be a tick box in the sub report for Include Records with no such mark. This only becomes available when you have selected a data field from the sub report so might not show if you are just using the Count feature, maybe duplicate the sub report and add a field such as date so that you can then apply the tick to the filter.

    Reporting

What output are the reports running to? Sorry I don't have an answer but we have the same issue with reports to Excel.
  13. This is just a copy and paste from the Capita site, but I think it should answer your question: Problem The functionality to editing Opening Balances in Dinner Money is not available after the end of the first Academic year. There are a number of reasons why users may wish to edit these or “start again” and this may include users moving back to using Dinner Money after keeping alterative records. The process below is a workaround which will enable schools to “adjust “ the current balances required against individual student records. Solution Schools will need to - select a Student which will have the adjustments Transferred to as the Transferee (this should be a long term leaver with a starting balance of 0.00) - agree a narrative to use on the entries which will be meaningful when reviewed at a later date (they should consider referring to their Audit Team for further advice on this) The Steps are as follows:- 1. Run off a Student Balance Report (Reports | Dinner Money | Finance | Student Balances) 2. Using the above, calculate what adjustment amount (positive or negative) is necessary to result in the current balance required against each student 3. Post a Balance Transfer entry against each student for the above amount using the agreed narrative in the Reason field and the agreed Student as the Transferee (Focus | Dinner Money | Student Additional Transactions) 4. Run off a Student Balance Report to ensure that the current balances are now as required 5. Review the Balance on the Transferee Student 6. Post an entry to clear the balance on the Transferee Student. This would be an External Refund (if in Credit) or a Write Off (if in Debit).
  14. Glad to hear it, I used to work in School and that's what we did, just wan't sure if it was technically the right thing to do....
  15. You could, perhaps save 'Do Not Phone' in place of the number and add it to the notes area?
