Further to this thread regarding 2nd job activities, I have been looking at what things I can learn. I have Hyper-V installed on my machine to test some things, but quickly run out of memory and space to test many things at once. Rather than purchasing extra Disks & Memory I was looking at the Azure option to be able to build some test labs so I can pick up experience on things I am no longer dealing with in my daily job. I can see there is a free access for 12 months. So my question is with the free access would I be able to create a test domain and create my own test lab to learn on? Has anyone done this? Is it possible to create some testing labs to learn new things and possibly put this toward any certs? At the minute I am just interested in having access to be able to learn, but it would be nice if I also had the option to use this to get some certificates in the future.

The trial has £150 of free credit for a month.

You can use all of the services but I really recommend to cancel all of the services you sign up for Azure at the end of the month.

I didn’t do that and, I was charged £225 for the services I didn’t cancel.

Also if you’re a student, you get free Azure Credit.

You can set up a test lab with Azure AD and Office 365.
