Salamander - email groups question

I could email salamander and ask them but thought I would ask on here first.

 

Our staff would like to create additional email groups for teachers in a particular year group. - So any member of staff who teachers a Year 9 class are included in the Teacher in Year 9 email group etc......

 

I know Salamander should be able to do this but - how does it cope with multiple staff assigned to a class?

 

When I have tried to run a SIMS report to find teachers who teach year 9 classes, SIMS only lists the main class teacher and not the secondary member of staff assigned.

 

Anyone else who uses Salamander do this sort of thing?

Do you have more than 1 teacher assigned to a class? and does it include them in the group?

I do believe so, never had any moaning from anyone.

 

I do believe the look at the staff timetables and use the name of the class rather than look at the class and then teacher.

Definitely

 

They can also (by CSV) add additionals to a group, eg the pastoral team assigned to that year group are added to all year 9 class groups.
