DSAGEY Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Hi, I have been back a forth with RISO and ERGO regarding our printers. We have 2 different servers Curriculum (Server 2008) and Admin (Server 2012) our printer RISO Comcolor 3010 is on the Curriculum network/server with an IP address, this was mapped by Capita & Ergo together on the Admin server. I now seem to get an error saying that the IP address has timed out and can't ping the IP address as it says Timed out but this only happens on machines on the Admin network. RISO and ERGO seem to blame each other with RISO saying it's a network issues which lies with ERGO, while ERGO say it's a driver issue with lies with RISO. So either way the issue has not been resolved. Does anyone have any clue as to why the Admin machines can no longer communicate with the IP address on the Curriculum network for the printer? Any advice would be appreciated as I have some SLT members unable to print. Thanks

fredbayker Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Can you ping other addresses on the admin network? Say the admin server for example. If you can consistently without issue, could there be another device with the same IP set statically? If all other devices are working ok then it could just be isolated to the device itself - maybe the network card?
MatthewL Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 If you cannot ping the copier, can you ping the curriculum gateway from the admin side? It all points to a network routing issues.
mavhc Posted February 6, 2020 Posted February 6, 2020 If you can't ping it then it's not a driver issue, because that's nothing to do with the driver
