Norphy Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 I guess this belongs here, it's probably the closest match I can see... Our SIP provider, Gamma, is having network issues. We are unable to make or receive phone calls to and from the outside world. Looking at Gamma's twitter feed, they're say they're having issues: Ironically or annoyingly, our service provider for Gamma presumably also has a Gamma SIP trunk because I can't call them either. What fun!
Jamman960 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Just tested our system(Bromley) and we’re ok at the moment on Gamma

Norphy Posted January 31, 2020 Author Posted January 31, 2020 We have an open Ethernet incident and have updated our Service Status Pages. Someone unplugged a network cable?
KevinB Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Some of the gifs on their Twatter feed are hilarious.
MrEprise Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Wish I'd had internet to have been able to see this earlier. We're with Blizzard Telecom for Internet & Phone (I think) which must use the same equipment.
caffrey Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Apparently it's a fibre break somewhere, wonder where - maybe Europe cut us off
Devontechie Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 It's a dual fibre break on the east coast and London area of the network
Edu-IT Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 So two breaks in different areas? That’s unfortunate.
XiJ Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Our schools affected in Rotherham / Doncaster too Great planning by gamma to have the network status on the partner panel - which was down
Devontechie Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Sounds like it.So two breaks in different areas? That’s unfortunate.
psumner1992 Posted February 1, 2020 Posted February 1, 2020 Looks like they have fixed the issue and are restoring services now.
