Renfield-64 Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 iOS 12 Since late last year whenever we try to use Safari on our iPads we get this message: [h=1]SAFARI CAN’T OPEN THE PAGE BECAUSE SAFARI CAN’T ESTABLISH A SECURE CONNECTION WITH THE SERVER[/h]On an individual iPad I can clear the website settings and data but as we manage the iPads through Jamf MDM there must be a way we can do this via Jamf. Any ideas?
bknaggs Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 Are you doing any https inspection on a web filter/firewall without deploying the required certificate onto the iPads?
Brimstone Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 This is a trust cert not properly installed or you have used an unapproved CA provider... https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204132
Renfield-64 Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Not as far as I know. It may well be linked to the certificate not being deployed as I can't work out how to do that in Jamf and their support don't respond to my request for help.
Brimstone Posted January 24, 2020 Posted January 24, 2020 I would assume you have Supervised the iPad using AC2 which I still really do not understand why? Here's the whole admin guide for Jamf Pro and links to videos, plus have you created a Jamf Nation account at all, there is plenty of great Jamf support out there... https://www.jamf.com/resources/product-documentation/jamf-pro-administrators-guide/ https://docs.jamf.com/10.18.0/jamf-pro/administrator-guide/Enrollment_Profiles.html https://www.youtube.com/user/JAMFMedia/videos https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/
Renfield-64 Posted January 24, 2020 Author Posted January 24, 2020 Hi, the iPads were set up using AC2 I believe (before I took over) but this has only started happening recently. I will try the Jamf Nation forum and checkout the guides. Thanks everyone for their help.
msi_school Posted January 27, 2020 Posted January 27, 2020 Have you updated to iOS 13 because it is causing all sorts of certificate fun
