Anyone heard of Access Education (formerly HCSS Education)

Our bursar is having a demo on their finance package with a view to it replacing PSF.

 

Currently we're a single school but will be becoming a two school secondary academy in the near future.

 

If anyone has anything good or bad to say about Access Education (formerly HCSS Education) it would be good to get a head's up!

Our finance team use it for budgeting and it's used in conjunction with PSF, they really like it but they are not sure the Finance Package is ready to compete with PSF yet.

Exactly the same here. They swear by it for budget setting, but PSF still for day-to-day. Star for Payroll.

We use Access Education/HCSS for our finance package and budgeting. It is used by the entire of our MAT (44 schools) and its miles better than what we used before (Corero).

 

My Business Manager has setup logins for each HOD so we can login and create a 'Purchase Order Requisition' which i then print and sign, give to BM and then all she has to do is check i have enough money in my budget and click email order and its done. So quick and easy!!

 

I can also check my current budget 'live' showing me how much i have left.

 

If you do your budgeting in it its really easy to 'import' your budget into the finance side of things, compared to before exporting and importing spreadsheets!
