DBazeley95 Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Afternoon All. I have been setting up the policies required for testing the new Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. I have managed to configure the default search provider to be Google using the following URL; https:/www.google.com/search?q={searchTerms} but I cannot get search suggestions to work. Anyone know what the correct URL would be? Kind Regards Daniel
Arthur Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Anyone know what the correct URL would be? This works for me in the new Edge. {google:baseURL}complete/search?output=chrome&q={searchTerms} There are a few more you might need too... https://wpsit.blogspot.com/2018/10/avoiding-google-captchas-on-your-network.html 1
DBazeley95 Posted January 13, 2020 Author Posted January 13, 2020 Thanks, that worked perfectly. Have you managed to get Internet Explorer mode working, if you have tried?
Arthur Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Have you managed to get Internet Explorer mode working, if you have tried? I tried, but couldn't get the IE mode option to show up. I might try again tomorrow when the stable version is officially released.
DBazeley95 Posted January 14, 2020 Author Posted January 14, 2020 I have had limited luck, from my testing it seems to work but not on a system with other GPOs applied, I think something may be clashing.
arh1a Posted January 14, 2020 Posted January 14, 2020 Only done limited testing so far but hoping favourites will sync with the redirected Favourites Home Folder. The new Edge GPOs don't seem to have a setting like the Legacy Edge version - Keep favourites in sync between Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge
mullet_man Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 I haven't done any real testing beyond installing the stable version on my PC, is there a way to get Edge to use my O365 account rather than local account? It seemed to want to use my local account rather than o365 account. I can't see a policy for the accounts?
