Migrate WhatsApp Messages From Android To iPhone

Hello,

 

I have purchased an iPhone and I would like to migrate all the messages from my Android phones. Looking online it looks like I need to use 3rd party software but there is no way to tell how well the software works. I was wondering if anyone has any experience doing this and could possibly provide feedback please?

I use a Samsung S6 (it bounces well) and my Whatsapp is backed up to Google Drive so Android to Android has worked fine. I haven't tested it going to the iPhone but it may pull through the back up from a Google Drive backup but it would be a free solution if it works!

Android to android or apple to apple is easy, crossing the divide however is a problem...

 

I know apple to droid can be done via third party tools but not looked at the other way round.

Wild stab in the dark, but could you backup your chats thru the web on a computer.

It's the same with Android to iOS.

 

If WhatsApp could connect to iCloud on Android and Google Drive on iOS it would be so easy.

Such a pain that is can’t connect to Google Drive on a iPhone.

 

In the end I used a third party tool called MobileTrans. It did the job well.

 

Shame to loose the OnePlus but they don’t sell them in Australia so can’t upgrade without a load of hassle.

You can’t actually see the raw files within Drive unfortunately.
