ass17 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Heads up for those that are looking to migrate serversin the next few months. Microsoft have started to publise a simple migration tool, so check it out https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-migration-service/overview https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-migration-service/faq https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-migration-service/migrate-data https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/storage-migration-service/known-issues https://www.virtualizationhowto.com/2019/12/migrate-windows-server-2008-r2-to-2019-with-storage-migration/ DISCLAIMER: I would always advise a clean fresh install of any server instead of any in place upgrade. Please read the FAQ's and all documentation to decide whether this service is going to work for your server migration. Always try anything like this on a closed environment first, away from your production servers. 4
