We have 30 ipads which are used in PPA and class. I always number the ipads so in PPA if a child saves their work to continue next week they get the same number. Currently teachers have been taking random ipads to use in class as we both want the same number on the same day. I've overcome this by air dropping the work over as it's only been one child but is there a MDM system (that doesn't involve the children logging onto cloud) where we can access their work more easily. Also from a teacher point of view, we currently get the children to air drop their final work onto the teachers ipad so we can connet it to the computer and save it on the server for evidence. Is there an easier way?

We currently have Zulu desk for a MDM and windows computers.

Thank you

We use Feem file transfer app. It's free, and all file transfers stay within your school network.

It's essentially the same principle as Airdrop, but you can also have a Windows client. In theory then at the end of a lesson, all your students can use Feem to send their work to the teacher's Windows PC directly.

The only gotcha I will mention is that it also makes it very easy for iPad users to create huge video files and then drop them on your main server storage(!).
