Student self registration

Hello world,

 

I was wondering if you could help me find or if you know of a solution for students to self register themseleves in. Does SIMS Capita have one or are you aware of any other services which link to SIMS which could do that. Students also have to be able to scan their RFID card to search.

Biostore have a student registration system. We use it for 6th form to self register. They can scan their finger , use an RFID card or type a pin in.

We use LiveRegister. Although we have a slightly different situation, using thumbprints and iSAMS, LiveRegister can do cards and SIMS. We've found them very reliable. Advantage to biometric registration like thumbs is that they can just give their card to a mate if they don't want to be marked absent/late.

Live Register is a fully SIMS integrated self -registration system for both AM/PM and lesson attendance. Schools can use a method of registration which works best for them or indeed a combination of RFID card, biometric or PIN.
