Google gives most Chromebooks an extra year of software support

Well, that is twice as fast as my 13 year old computer at running ChromeOS. Does the 16GB storage affect how many people can login?

 

They are £198 ex vat on hp's page, so with the, what, £20 management cost, that's £218. Then standard £50 HP discount down to £170ish for 11" 768p, 4GB RAM, 16GB storage, A4 cpu. Vs £260 for core i3 128GB ssd 8GB ram, 13" 760p Win 10 Pro HP laptops, with hdmi and vga out

 

I do wish all laptops had usb-c charging though, if it's on a £150 laptop there's no excuse that it costs too much.

This comes up second on the Google shopping list so £150 looks achievable.

That makes the my previous post look even better but of course doesn't have the device management license. Out of interest, does it come with a power adaptor? I know sometimes low end devices sometimes cut some key items to achieve there price point.

If you combine https://cros-updates-serving.appspot.com/ with https://www.cvedetails.com/vulnerability-list/vendor_id-1224/product_id-20320/Google-Chrome-Os.html it's possible to work out what your EOL devices are vulnerable to, just about. Looks like nothing currently.

 

Chrome bugs that affect access within Chrome are still a problem, but at least no one's rooting your machines.

 

Does seem like 32 bit support for Chrome OS is completely dead though, none of the Chromium OS people are supporting it that I can see
