File stream asks users to sign in every time

Hello all,

Using file stream successfully around the school but have hit a problem with my administrative staff using desktops where you sign in and its perfect but every time they restart it asks them to sign in again. I have changed the cache location using the registry however that does not work.

 

I'm guessing its down to it storing the settings in local appdata which is a pain for me but is there a way around this?

have been playing with the ContentCachePath reg entry however that makes no difference.

I'm having the same issue here! Has anyone managed to get rid of the login screen? We're Azure AD, so as soon as they type the e-mail address into the form and press sign in, it automatically authenticates through Azure and lets them in. We're Hybrid joined also, but it makes no difference, we're still seeing

.. every time a user restarts.

 

Has anyone cracked it?

Has anyone looked at the ForceBrowserAuth registry key? I have been meaning to for a while but haven't got around to it. As far as I can see, this forces the authentication to happen in the browser where the user is already logged in or probably at least has their credentials saved. It sounds like it would streamline the log in process, even if it doesn't get rid of it completely.

 

I'd be interested to hear from anyone who has tried this.

Not tried that here. I'd guess the issue lies in that there's nothing populated in Credentials Manager until you first sign in on File Stream, and then these credentials aren't saved in the roaming profile.

I'm under the impression that Google doesn't do full SSO in the same way Adobe products don't with shared device licencing - but hoping someone has managed to crack this!
