Badaz52 Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 Hi, I have setup MDT to deploy the latest windows 10 update to our computers, I intend to do this as an in-place upgrade. I have my task sequence created for updating purposes and have created a special user account that maps a drive and runs litetouch.vbs on login so I can carry this out in bulk. The trouble is I have to select the upgrade from the task sequence and then hit begin. Can I automate this part so the script just does it's thing if I log in to a machine with my special account? Cheers!
strawberry Posted September 27, 2019 Posted September 27, 2019 copy your deployment share then a TaskSequenceID=yourtsid and skiptasksequence-yes to your bootstrap.ini
Badaz52 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 copy your deployment share then a TaskSequenceID=yourtsid and skiptasksequence-yes to your bootstrap.ini Probably being silly here, why would I need to copy the deployment share first?
strawberry Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 because bootstrap is for the whole deployment share.
Badaz52 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 because bootstrap is for the whole deployment share. Do I put this under [settings] or [default]?
Badaz52 Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 default. OK so I have tried this and it loads in the settings that I want but still wants me to physically press Begin. Can I do anything about this?
thebatman Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 You can just mod this script below and have it as a logon script \\server.domain\DeploymentShare$\Scripts\LiteTouch.vbs /SkipTaskSequence:YES /TaskSequenceID:SOFTWAREINSTALL /SkipDeploymentType:Yes /DeploymentType:REFRESH /SkipComputerName:YES /SkipDomainMembership:YES /UserDataLocation:AUTO /SkipUserData:YES /SkipComputerBackup:YES /ComputerBackupLocation:NONE /SkipLocaleSelection:YES /SkipApplications:NO /SkipAdminPassword:YES /SkipBitLocker:YES /SkipSummary:YES /FinishAction:Nothing
