Just of today - nothing has changed apart from a driver install, and we are now getting Do You Trust This Printer when connecting to some (not all) of the printers on our print server.

Question is, why all of a sudden is this happening and why is it only applying to some of the printers?

I have read that it's to do with the driver version but for it to suddenly do it all of a sudden? Strange?!

Implementing the point and print restrictions specifying the sever and setting the security prompts to "do not show" works however i do not understand that this policy was set to DISABLED and things were working fine.

As i say nothing in group policy has changed and it seems since changing a damm toshiba driver this is when the problems have occurred.

Anyone else seen this?

You need packaged printer drivers, ran into this issue myself - under packaged on the drivers section of the print server it should say true.

All the drivers do say true and i've checked the registry entries for the drivers and they all add up to what it should be - i'm at a bit of a loss to be honest.

You could try change this reg key on the print server "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Environments\Windows x64\Drivers\Version-3\DriverName\PrinterDriverAttributes" and setting the value to 1. You will need to restart the print server.

Tried that, doesn't work unfortunately.

I've ready the PrinterDriverAttributes needs to be an odd number too.
