[android] XIBO on android TV

Hi,

 

I've bought a couple of android TV's to run XIBO on which work great for basic displays but I'm having trouble getting them to work with a HTTPS website.

 

I'm getting Couldn't establish a secure connection to the server as it always opens in the browser. Even when I install FF or Safari (which the website opens fine in)

 

I've disabled the browser app but it still opens in it.. I cant root them either.

 

Anyone done something similar?

We are currently using Xibo with android TVs as well, is your network filtered? If so you might need to assign a static IP and white list it. Otherwise mate I'm stumped.

I think it was because they were so old, I bought a couple of newer ones off eBay and they work fine.
