Hello we have managed iPads and have 200 of these. We currently use printopia to send pictures only to a network location. I’m looking for a better way to send photos and videos from the iPads to a network location, I don’t fancy manually going to each iPad and configuring the app by typing in network path and authorising a username and password. We are a primary school so want it easy as possible for children.

At the last primary school I was at, sadly it was done manually and the end of each term - about 40 ipads. Not sure about a better way by I suggested perhaps using an App, like Google photos, that stored in the cloud so no need for transfer at a later date. I recall this issue in an old thread where Foldr was used, which the primary had so maybe they went that way.

*** Edit *** This is the old thread - http://www.edugeek.net/forums/netbooks-pda-phones/202074-copying-photos-ipad-storing-server.html

As of yet I haven't come across any free app/service that allows you to configure network storage for mass deployment on iPads. We've been in the same situation countless times with our iPads (250 odd - Primary school too) - just had to suck it up and enter the credentials. We've used everything from DropBox, OneDrive and have now settled on a superb app called Documents - still have to enter the credentials manually, but have only had to do it once. Comes with built in PDF, Word, PowerPoint readers so it's great for making our iPads more than just fancy internet browsers. Edited by Cat_Jam148

We use WebDavNav+ with Meraki MDM to configure and deploy to iPads. There is a free version of it but you would need to manually configure each device hence why we went with the + version.

I did struggle initially setting it up but emailed Sean Ashton and he explained where i was going wrong. I'm sure if you made contact he would give you a trial and definitely a discount. Sorry can't remember the pricing.

1+ for this setup. We have it like this with an IIS server running the WebDAV link to network. Been working perfectly like this for 5+ years. It’s a really good App.
