MikW Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 All our staff are given a bottle of whiteboard cleaning fluid ( I can get more detail if you want) and are expected to do it themselves. How many of them are actually doing it is another matter.....
dave.81 Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 All our boards came with cleaning fluid though most are running low now, so will have to source more. The staff are expected to do it themselves when they use a pen on them, although we shout at them for using a pen on them at all.
SimpleSi Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 IME they pretty much cope with any normal whiteboard cleaning products short of hydrofluric acid regards Simon
PEO Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 DURABLE SUPERCLEAN foam DURABLE Superclean Foam 400ml - DUR5739 - www.microdirect.co.uk This stuff is cheap and works really well... 1
tech_guy Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 We don't allow our teachers to write on the smartboards. They have a whiteboard at the side for that :-)
enjay Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 Warm soapy water works quite well too. I've always been cautious using any of the standard whiteboard cleaners in case it ends up ruining the surface in the same way as it does on standard whiteboards!
PEO Posted May 15, 2008 Posted May 15, 2008 We don't let staff or kids write on our IWB either but they do manage to get grubby. I've been using the stuff for years on both IWB and non-IWB. They get cleaned 2-3 times a year, and I haven't noticed any problems with the IWB; Also the product is Alcohol free
