Definately sounds like a faulty PSU, we have loads of optiplex pc and a number of GX520's have had the same problem. I'd agree with flyinghaggis, if you have one you can swap out and test i'd do that.

No joy here, but we do have an over zealous authority filter in place.......

Are you using the HP Tcp/ip port or the standard Microsoft one. I used to have nothing but trouble with the HP one.

Thanks for all the info, since the negative seems to outweigh the positive I think I might steer clear of them. Muchh appreciated.

Are they any good? Can't say i've come across DLP projectors before.

How are you getting updates? Is it per machine or do you have WSUS?

Hi all, Just looking for some inside info. Has anyone had any experience of Infocus LCD projectors, specifically the X21 XGA Projector. Misco have a deal on at the minute with a free lamp voucher so i'd appreciate some feedback on reliability, support etc. Cheers

Does anyone have a live link for this or send me a copy (i'm assuming it's freeware, correct me if i'm wrong), i've searched everywhere for it to no avail. I'd greatly appreciate any assistance. Cheers

Yep, Spiceworks ticks a lot of boxes for me.

Hi, hoping someone can help me out with this one before I phone Adobe. After starting the setup process a window appears which seems to be the installer unpacking. After a few seconds the installer window comes up then flicks off after a few seconds. Has anyone else come across this problem? I've tried on 2 machines so far, an Optiplex 755 (specs seem to meet the minimum fine) and a Precision 470, both Dell which I hope isn't the issue. The event viewer says the install completed successfully which is bizarre as it never started. cherrs for and ideas.

You could set up a Google calendar and use Google Calendar Sync on both the Head's and the PA's machines to synchronise the data. I have a simelar setup at the minute which works very well.

I came in this morning to an IT suite with keybords and mice 'mysteriously' moved to other computers. Also some &*%@ had stuck labels on three of the monitors saying "do not use" and lets just say they didn't come off in one fluid movement.

What do you need it for? Only reason I ask is that I was looking for the same thing recently and came across this: USB Male to IEEE 1394 Firewire 4 Pin Male Adapter Converter I'm always a bit wary about converters though.....
