oododkodkdo Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 Hello all, Today, we had our Main Domain Controller fail on us and we didn’t know about this issue but then, we were flooded with support tickets with “Unable to Logon” Once we figured out the problem which was DNS, we fixed it. To prevent from this happening again, we are currently thinking about a program which can monitor our servers and our VMs’. Imagine in our IT support room, there was a vertical monitor which would show our server status and memory allocation.
Norphy Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 There's a hell of a lot that can do this. If you have a System Center license, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) is worth looking at. We use PRTG, it's very nice Whatsup Gold ManageEngine Opmanager If you want free, Zabbix and Nagios are popular. There's no shortage of options. 1
bald_pig Posted September 11, 2019 Posted September 11, 2019 PTRG, Spiceworks, Zabbix can do this, there are many more. 1
