csmith0504 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 (edited) Hi, My colleague is having an issue with running SIMS.NET Reports and exporting into Excel. When a report is ran that includes the parameter "Address Block" and the selected students addresses are chosen to be ran in the report, the report is exported into excel and runs ok. However, instead of Address Block creating an address with line breaks inside the cell, it is inputting "X!$X" instead, and I cannot figure out why. I have expended all solution suggestions from Capita and unfortunately it hasn't solved it. Has anyone experienced anything similar to this? Edited September 9, 2019 by csmith0504

gh5000 Posted September 9, 2019 Posted September 9, 2019 Oh dear, oh dear! That's some time to go unfixed!I had it on someones computer recently but can't remember what fixed it exactly. I'm pretty sure it's something in the VB script of report data.xls

blueday Posted September 10, 2019 Posted September 10, 2019 Try deleting or renaming the tempSIMSrpt folder found in the user's Documents folder. It will then be recreated when a report is run.
csmith0504 Posted September 11, 2019 Author Posted September 11, 2019 Try deleting or renaming the tempSIMSrpt folder found in the user's Documents folder. It will then be recreated when a report is run. Wow, this fixed it. Thank you so much, this has been going on for months, I feel like a bit of an idiot now! Shame that Capitas first response to me on this issue was to contact Microsoft...
