Photoshop CC18 + Win 1809 + Roaming AppData = Crash on launch

Hi all,

Since going from 1607 to 1809 we've had the issue where Photoshop crashes on start-up. Specifically the initializing panels bit.

 

I've done quite a lot of digging and while it seems that a fair number of others have had the same issue but the only workaround seems to be to stop redirecting appdata but this just seems a bit heavy handed for a single program.

We did try to put a gpo excetption in place so that it doesn't redirect application data/adobe but had no effect.

 

Has anyone actually had any joy in getting Photoshop working in 1809 and keeping appdata redirected?
