Media Converters

I'm planning on connecting my Openfiler machine to my core switch via fibre.

 

I allready have a spare pair of fibres going to the location it will be in.

 

I will have a spare fibre mini gbic on my 4108GL.

 

At the other end I'll need a media converter to go from the multimode fibre to 1000 BaseT copper to plug into the Openfiler server.

 

Any recommendations on converters?

 

The GVT-4001 has been suggested by European Electronique.

Yeah that sort of thing.

 

Should have said that EE can do me the GVT-4001 for £110.
