Yup - got off the bus in Manchester City Centre this morning.. headed to my local McDonalds for my regular coffee intake.. only to leave Manchester outside... and enter Glasgow!! :eek: :eek:

 

Yup Manchester is now twinned with Glasgow as about 100,000 Glasgow Rangers fans descend on it for the UEFA cup match.

 

Having a glasgow twang myself.. and with there being approx 2 dozen Ger's fans in there.. i decided i should kee my trap shut before i got harranged by jubilent fans asking 10 dozen questions and being dragged off with the crowd..

 

Anyway i grabs my coffee and leg it out of there and head for my next bus...

 

Only to find that Albert Square (no not the one off the telly!!) is to all bar rangers Fans and all buses are being diverted - had to walk about half a mile thru hoards of Rangers Fans chanting away merrily .. did i tell you it was only 7am?.. and in a very happy mood.

 

Looks like i'll need another bus home :eek:

 

Anyway - hope Ranger's trounce the Ruskies :D

I drove down the motorway to preston this morning and the motorway was full of glaswegians all with flags and scarfs out the windows.

 

I'm suppose to be going manchester later and i'm going near city stadium so god knows how long it'll be to get round anywhere!!!

 

go on rangers is all i'm going to say!

local radio station (Key 103) is now estimating approx 150,000 rangers fans entering manchester today!!!

 

@steve - if i were you i'd go somewhere else!!

Not very nice (or fair!) sincwe Scotland is still technically a part of Britain!

 

Despite the fact that I'm scottish - I would still support an English, or welsh, or irish team/player if they made it through to a final such as teh UEFA cup..

I'm old enough to remeber when the UEFA cup actually meant something.....

 

when it was the second best teams in the leagues and not the 5th, 6th placed and champions league failures.

 

an inter milan team featuring world cup winners mattheus, bremer, and voller winning the trophy.....therefore some of the very best teams in europe competing in the semi's and final

 

norwhich city and they're incredible uefa cup run...and ronaldo single handedly beating lazio in the final was probably the last memorable moment for the tournament.

 

What do we have today...everton and bolton uefa cup games shown on the graveyard of tv footbal that is channel 5. And a scottish team in the final.

rugby is the most over rated and boring sport on the planet...coupled with the american version of it..american football utter tripe! im not a rangers fan but ive always enjoyed watching them when it comes to scottish footie...ever since the days of gazza and MCcoist

Yep. And at the same time, i'm looking forward to an absolute humdinger of a Champions League final with two English teams up for the gold. Should be a stonker. I'll be enjoying the game, not burning St. George flags.

 

Edit: Oh yeah, and rugby is wank :)

I feel sorry for the people of manchester if rangers lose tonight. Wont be much left of the city.

As a Rangers fan living in Manchester, this week has been AMAZING so far. Manchester is absolutely teamed with Ger's fans. I'm watching the game in Albert Square tonight... just about to start on my first can of Wife-Beater :D

silly me forgot to book time off work tomorrow though...

 

 

Rangers 2-1 tonight. You heard it here first!!!
