FragglePete Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Evening, Am I missing something here? Planned to do the Summer 2019 release this evening, and I go to Deploy the SIMS Summer 2019 Full Release (7.188.41) and it states that my database is less than the required version 3.63.434.0. I noticed there is a SIMS Summer 2019 Database Only (3.63.434) waiting as well. I'm sure I've only ever done the Full Release Updates and the database gets done at the same time, but is this now not the case? We're currently running SIMS Spring 2019 and I've just ensured all the necessary patches have been deployed since I did that upgrade back in May. Help appreciated - TIA as always. Pete
Edu-IT Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 When I deployed it, I just selected the Full Release. It deployed everything else it needed itself. I suspect somehow the packages aren't linked like they should be in your SOLUS. Do it at your own risk but I'm sure if you deploy the database update manually, then the Full Release, it'll be absolutely fine. 1

Appreciate the response - may just raise a call tomorrow with Capita - after all, that's what we pay them silly money for! May just leave it until after results day to be on the safe side, but I'll see what they come back with first. Pete
jcollings Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 I had this the other day. Deployed the database only patch first which only applies to the SIMS server then the full release worked after that. 1
Koldov Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Yes, this happened to me. Usually just do the full release, but got the same error. As above, did the database only patch, then the full release. 1
bknaggs Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Same here. I did the database first and then the full release which worked fine. 1
AJWhite1970 Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Likewise here, stumped me for a bit but then like others, did the db first, then the full and it all went well 1
ITManLT Posted July 30, 2019 Posted July 30, 2019 Not done the update just yet, but I usually make sure both are downloaded, then do the full release and because the database patch is downloaded it usually does both. 1
FragglePete Posted July 30, 2019 Author Posted July 30, 2019 Thanks all - would appear that resolved it. Full Release update going through now. Pete
Kitkatninja Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 I normally select the DB upgrade and the full release at the same time, Solus sorts out the rest
