Office 2016 or 2019

I have read quite a few technical problems with deploying office 2019.

 

Are most upgrading to 2019 for Windows 10 or 2016.

 

I was told the other week that Sims won’t work with 2019. Only a few computers with Sims.

Both have the same EOL date. My current thinking is neither, LibreOffice is easier to deploy on Windows than MS Office, and doesn't involve 6 weeks trying to work out the licencing.

Sticking with Office 2016 for now. Yet to see any compelling reason to go 2019.

Might as well switch to Office 365 if you're going past Office 2016, same price as 2019 over the 7 years of support approx.

We've gone down the Office365 pro plus route and haven't come across any SIMS issues up to now.

Office 365 is fine apparently. Just office 2019

It's likely it's fine, not much changes. They're just too lazy to test it. Good job no one pays for SIMS or they'd be asking for their money back

We had issues with the latest (19XX) Office 365 edition and SIMS - printing reports from Assessment Manager failed miserably with COM errors. Downgrading to an 18XX edition of it fixed it.
