We've got a lovely video camera in school... only had it a few months. Trouble is the teachers have managed to lose the CD that came with it that had the drivers on it.

I've tried googling without success :(

(EDIT - also tried the Hitachi website)

Can anyone help please?

try contacting hitachi and enquiring about the camera long with model number etc. they maybe able to send you another cd if you explain you tried to search net and their site for drivers. or they could even send you a link to the drivers maybe you've missed them or something.

weve got a few of these camera's cant lay my hands on cd at the moment but ! on the lid of the box is an address for PC Software

Thanks. I've been to that link several times... through Google and directed by Hitachi... but this model camera is not listed on the downloads :(

If you do find a CD, I'd be eternally grateful. :-)

Does the camera not have Firewire? Firewire video cameras usually don't need the driver - and perform much better than USB2.

The camera does.. the PC doesn't :(

I'm steadily getting absolutely know where with Hitachi...

A nudge just incase someone has a CD they can copy for me!

Not sure if you still need the disk but I have one if you would like a copy.
