So..

 

i tried to putty into one of my cameras switches via serial and all off a sudden all of the lights went solid but still cameras are working, i don't really have any documentation on this network so i am quite confused, didn't manage to putty in either

admin/guest (or admin/blank depending on model) is the default for ECS models, unless it's been changed

 

Putty settings wise try - 115200 bps, 8 characters, no parity, one stop bit, 8 data bits, and no flow control

Yeah, my guess is you may have confused it with incorrect settings when connecting? Have you tried restarting it and connecting using the settings in the manual on the page you linked @Jcx500?

Starting at the basics..

 

Have you hit the button on the switch which changes port LEDs from Activity to Speed to POE Status to....

 

(I don't know edgecore, but HP have this)

There is button with poe mode, but im guessing that is to enable poe on the ports,

id be surprised if it did its more likely to set the activity light to show if a device is drawing power

Pressing the PoE button on the ECS2100-10P, ECS2100-10PE, ECS2100-28P, and
ECS2100-28PP front panel changes the port LEDs to display PoE status. For more
information, see “Understanding the System Status LEDs” on page 47.
