UPN Re-alloction

Right our sims support team do not seem to want to help us with this very simple issue so i thought i may ask here.

 

The Problem we are having is with re-allocating a upn number so it can be used for a different student.

 

Sims have sent us two tools, the first one states that we need a database greater than 3.61.325 ours is 3.61.436. The second tool allows us to open it but when i enter my login details in claims it is an invalid user, i have tried using the account 'sa' but the error stills occures, i have even tried resetting the user 'sa' password still i get the same error message.

 

Exact message is as follows :

Unable to log in to database

Please check the supplied database information, and try again.

Exception message:

Login failed for user 'simsint'.

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Not questioning you here but I am interested in why you want to re-allocate a UPN to someone else?

 

I thought that these were supposed to be unique.

Als you need to run from your your c driver as it wont run from a network share.

There was an error made when our receptionist was inputting brother and sister, she somehow messed up the upns.

 

I am running it from the local c drive of the sims server.

its resource 427 on the private file share on the capita support website if the link didn't work.

 

your be able to delete the upn and re input it.
