Looking for desktops with covered wires at the back to stop pupils from pulling them

Hello,

Please give me brand and models for desktops that have a wires cover to stop the pupils from pulling them out.

Preferably you will need at least a screwdriver to access the wires, or even better a key, as long as it is the same key for all computers.

We have VeryPC Flex Micros here which have a cable cover. The large Flex which we use for IWB computers (So they can have a DVD drive) also have a cover.

Our Dell OptiPlex 7450 AIOs were purchased with lockable port covers. The cover can be screwed in to prevent removal.

 

Dell's newer AIOs also support lockable port covers.

I've got about 100 HP IWC Stands for their Ultra small PCs in stock at the moment.

 

They've got a cable cover too. We can fit them with 4th Gen i5 EliteDesks and 24" screens easily enough

NS Optimum and VeryPC are the 2 companies we have used with cable covers and they are fantastic! No more hunting the faulty mouse as it passes from PC to PC and no more power cables or network leads unplugged from the back of the PCs

We use Stone chassis/pc-monitor-combo-stand-thing that have a rigid IO cover (not the one linked, probably an older model)

 

They're pretty damn sturdy and the cages are solid. Plus (at least the ones we have) have cable troughs for VGA/DVI and monitor power.

If you're rather thin-fingered you can get your fingers up into the hole that you feed all the wires out from and unplug the power cable from the PSU, but that's only happened a couple of times.

They all come with a security-bit type screw, the hex key with the hole/prong in the middle, I have no idea what they're called, but that's stopped kids getting into them.

 

Obviously this doesn't work if you're buying AIO units

Hi @Skip, thanks for posting! This sounds like a job for the VeryPC Flex, with security screw, so thanks for the shout outs on it guys. We'd provide the screw bit too, in effect acting like a single keyed security solution. The Flex has a rear cable shroud to deter prying fingers you see which also has a convenient Kensington lock point. The security screw would lock it down nicely. In addition there is the optional height adjustable monitor mount kit to turn it into a neat and tidy hybrid AiO solution.
