HDMI with Ethernet

Any AV nerds on here, I aware that since HDMI 1.4 that an ethernet channel has been included. This is supposed to allow an internet connected device share it's internet connection, say a tv can share with a games console via the HDMI.

 

Has anyone seen this in the wild?

I never seen it used for proper data, but suspect it's that feature that's used for things such as CEC.
