Private tuto for Primary kid

Hi all

 

The guy who is landscaping our garden has a daughter at the school where I used to teach. However it sounds like the school is having real problems. Heads (plural) leaving, DH off sick for months, supply teacher all over the place with no real guidance etc etc

 

Anyway, his daughter is quite bright and clever but is complaining that she is just doing stuff she did last year - even the same exercises and she just remembers the question and answer so she doesn't even need to work it out again.

hence they are looking for a tutor so she can get back up to speed so she will not be miles behind. They asked if I could do it, but I was never a Primary teacher properly and I don't know the current curriculum etc etc. Also, insurance, liability and all that

 

 

Anyway - I was wondering if any of you lot know of any good reputable organisation that operate in the North West that I could check out for them?

I'll ask my Brother-in-law.

 

He's a private tutor for GCSE, in Chester/Ellesmere Port area, but i'll ask which organisation he operates through.

He's registered with/through TutorHunt, but that's an agency that adds percentage fee if you go through them; cheaper to go direct if you can find the right tutor directly.
