Laptops slow to log on. Have now changed to mandatory profiles but still a little slo

Hi,

I've got 60 laptops that are taking ages to load students roaming profiles over the Wireless network.

So I decided that i would change all the students profiles to mandatory. I followed the guide in the WIKI and now my mandatory profile is 2.3MB. I have redirected Application Data, Start Menu and Desktop folders to a location on my server. This has helped dramatically but its still a bit too slow loading all the profiles on the laptops.

The 60 laptops are grouped on 4 trolleys with 15 laptops on each trolley. Each trolley has 2 access points which are connected to a 10/100 switch and then connected to the network..

Is there any other way i can speed the logons up ?

We use wireless laptops heavily for learners (over 120) and we have had some success having no profiles. We use GPO to setup the desktop, folder redirection etc. We then use vbscript via login and application start up to set any specific registry settigs that are required. You can even set them in default profile before ghosting (if you use ghost).
