Windows 10 VL iso image - English or English international

We will be deploying Windows 10 very soon. Which W10 ISO do you download from the VL portal - English or English international?

@Arthur Is there a decent MS document that explains what you get/miss from choosing a specific language version? We seem to have en-us deployed here with little noticeable impact (other that occasionally falling into EN-US)

Not a document but we had issues with spell check not working in IE until we installed the International version over the top, we now have the International version in our MDT after realising our mistake. There's no logic in using an OS image that is different to your locale, for the sake of clicking a dropdown.

If you deploy the EN-US ISO and change the region to EN-GB on login the user will see notifications for "option features" where the English GB typing, text to speech etc packages are downloaded and installed. I don't remember if this was for every user who logged in or just the first user.

 

In earlier versions the optional features could be installed as a standard user, in later versions the UAC prompt appears. You can test it yourself by going to Settings, Apps, Apps & Features. You now need elevated permissions to manage optional features whereas previously a standard user could browse and add features. I might be wrong as that was 2015/16 and we changed over to English-international as soon as the ISOs were available.

Noticed that the Windows 10 ISOs (from MS VLSC) have been updated as of yesterday. Now stating Updated March '19.

Thanks to info on this thread, I'll be downloading the 'English International' version, as always used 'English' previously, but if defaults to UK keyboard etc that's a bonus.

Will that be automatically downloaded from the Store now that Microsoft have switched to LXPs?
