Office365 - Update user info with CSV

Hi All,

 

Just a quick one. Can I update user info by exporting all users into a CSV through the admin portal and then re-importing through the portal or does it all have to be done through powershell?

Depends on what it is you need to update. You can download a template user import csv file from the admin center. Edited March 25, 2019 by djm968

Schools Data Sync is used for this purpose, you export the data from SIMs etc and then use SDS to import it to 365.

 

I would recommend Salamander though, we heavily use 365 in the classroom and it wouldn't be possible without them. They have a paid for fully automated solution, but also free tools to help you with SDS etc.

We're using SDS and other than being picky about the csv format it works very well.
