speckledegg Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 Morning all, Has anyone had any joy enabling wifi calling in their schools? I found that it works perfectly for me at home, but when in school I'm unable to use it at all. Would be handy to use as reception is not the best here! From researching, we need to open some ports on the firewall, but I cant find a definitive list of what ports to open.... Has anyone done this before? And if so, are the ports that need to be open universal for both Android and Apple devices? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! [emoji4]

FN-GM Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 I would be keen to know this for all networks and allow it on our BYOD and Guest network. Coverage on a few of our sites is poor at best.

For Apple it's essentially the same ports you'd open for some VPNs (500 and 4500 UDP). I couldn't tell you if Android devices needs anything extra. https://support.apple.com/et-ee/HT202944
Paid_Peanuts Posted March 25, 2019 Posted March 25, 2019 All networks are different, I have got it working for EE as they publicise their ports etc. However, 3 and BT Mobile (only 2 I have been asked for) I cannot find any details online about what ports etc. are required - and therefore cannot get them to work.

Looks like you will have to run wireshark and see what ports they use...
