DPM Replica Cleanup

Hello,

 

I've recently had to create a new DPM server. Server 2019 and DPM 2019.

 

I keep getting the following replica inconsistent message:

 

DPM failed to clean up data of old incremental backups on the replica for Volume F:\ Synchronization will fail until the replica cleanup succeeds. (ID 30134 Details: Cannot create a file when that file already exists (0x800700B7))

 

I have removed the server from the protection group and reinstalled the DPM agent.

 

Any ideas?

What happens if you run the "pruneshadowcopies.ps1" script?

I've really broken mine now as I removed protection which deleted the group and now I can't create a new group due to not using Modern Backup.

 

I knew this was going to be a problem at some point but turns out protection group creation is something that relies on Modern Backup. Darn!
