maxrebo Posted March 22, 2019 Posted March 22, 2019 Its come to our attention that the pupils are customising the google homepage background using the "Customize this page" Settings cog in the bottom right when opening a new tab. Is there any where to hide this is the Google GPO? thanks
cbsc Posted April 30, 2019 Posted April 30, 2019 We raised this issue with Google, and they pointed us to the following thread: https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=894273 According to [email protected] "we're adding a new policy to disable customization of the NTP background" and aiming to have this available for version 74. I recommend 'starring' the thread so Google can prioritise this issue accordingly. 1
Jaan Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 We've just noticed this today, although we're on v74 and have the lastest gpos. Can't seem to find an option to disable it.
Jaan Posted February 5, 2020 Posted February 5, 2020 Just noticed this has been added to v80 of the chrome GPOs. I've added the GPOs but i'm unable to find the option i'm sure it's just because the coffee hasn't kicked in yet! lol https://cloud.google.com/docs/chrome-enterprise/policies/?policy=NTPCustomBackgroundEnabled
